FASGI Free Citizenship Clinic
The Filipino American Service Group Inc. (FASGI) invites Filipinos in Los Angeles to take part in its free citizenship clinics to be held from Mondays to Fridays, beginning August 2013 until June 2014. Clinics will be held at the FASGI Community Wellness Center on the 6th Floor of the Silverlake Medical Center on 1711 W. Temple St., Los Angeles, CA 90026. A fee waiver would be available to qualifying citizenship applicants. Immigration attorneys will also be on hand to provide free legal review of the applications. Fil-Am artist Lynda A. N. Reyes participates in art exhibit in Calgary Alberta in Canada
Filipinos in Canada are invited to come and support Fil-Am artist Lynda A. N. Reyes as she participates at the 88th Annual Open Juried Exhibition of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour (CSPWC). Reyes’ watercolor painting entitled “Nocturnal Drifters” will be displayed at the exhibit from September 7 to October 20, 2013 at the Leighton Art Center in Calgary Alberta in Canada. Reyes’ work was among the 47 artworks selected by a distinguished panel of jurors from over 240 entries from around the world. Affordable Healthcare and You – A Community Forum on the Affordable Healthcare Act
Search to Involve Pilipino Americans (SIPA), Filipino American Service Group, Inc. (FASGI), Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles and OCA-Greater Los Angeles are hosting “Affordable Healthcare & You,” a forum to educate the community about the Affordable Care Act. The forum will feature a healthcare reform presentation by Asian Americans Advancing Justice-Los Angeles and one-on-one healthcare eligibility consultations with bilingual Tagalog-speaking staff from SIPA, FASGI and OCA-Greater Los Angeles. Peñafrancia Celebration in the Bay Area

Benefit Concert Supporting Project Hope
“18 Thoughts,” an all-girl band whose members’ age range from 11 to 16 years old, will be having a FREE Benefit Concert in support of Project Hope, a ministry geared towards providing for the physical needs of the community while sharing the love of Christ. Long Beach Marathon, with ANCOP USA as official partner charity
ANCOP – USA has been selected as a official partner charity for the Long Beach Marathon, which will happen on October 13, 2013. As part of prestigious event, ANCOP USA must now submit at least 20 entries for the Long Beach Marathon itself. These can be a mix of marathons, half marathons, 5K or bike tours. Payments for the race entries need to be submitted in full by credit card or check (made out to Run Racing). Once payment have been submitted, participants will be provided with registration codes for their entries, in coordination with ANCOP USA.
